Prafulla Bilore, popularly known as MBA Chaiwala, was born on 14 January 1996 in Indore, Madhya Pradesh. Prafulla’s childhood dream was that he would do MBA and get a job in a big company and get a good package. After completing his schooling, he moved to Ahmedabad to pursue MBA and started preparing for CAT to pursue MBA from IIM Ahmedabad.
Prafulla prepared for CAT for 3 consecutive years in Ahmedabad but could not succeed and finally gave up and stopped preparing. After this, he decided to start his own business and from there, the story of MBA Chai Wale started.
Along with his tea business, he also worked as a waiter at McDonald’s. Here he used to get ₹ 37 for 1 hour. He used to work as a waiter from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm and then used to sell tea by setting up a tea stall on the road. Prafull had said in an interview that he had sold tea worth ₹300 on the first day.
When the family members came to know about the job at McDonald’s, then they asked to leave the job. The family members pressured him to leave the job and study MBA at a private college. Prafull Billore took admitted to an MBA but left it midway.
Prafulla started working at the tea cart from morning till night and continued working hard. After a few days, he opened a tea shop and named it Billore. After a few days, the name of the shop was changed to ‘MBA Chai Wala’ which was liked by the people.
